Built in 1863 by the first Lord Abinger, Inverlochy Castle was a private residence until 1963. Queen Victoria herself visited in 1873 and commented in her diaries ‘I never saw a lovelier or more romantic spot’. Located amidst the scenic foothills of Ben Nevis overlooking its own loch, the castle today offers visitors a chance to experience Scotland at its most dramatic and luxurious. An 18 hole golf course is available a short distance away in Fort William and numerous other golf courses are within easy reach.
